She still wears nappies at night, is this ok? Most mornings she wakes up with a dry nappy especially when she has not had any drinks the previous evening. I have tried waking her up to wee but she wont wee at all but will sit on the toilet seat with her eyes closed. What do I do? Until when can a child use a nappy? 5 Pin It user comments Posted by: Peta | 2012/05/16 My little guy will be 4 in September and is still firmly on night nappies and will be for at least another 6m-1yr, due to our situation. The potty training is going very well though, he is in undies 99% of the time now! He is only in the nappy for his midday sleep during the day and half the time he wakes up dryMaybe try running a tap or making " Wee" sounds in her ear while she sits on the potty?Maybe get her one of those plastic mattress covers and take the nappy off - limit the night time drinks to start and see how it goes?Good luck!P Reply to Peta Posted by: Yas | 2012/05/16 My daughter was toilet trained before her 2nd birthday and stopped wearing diapers, even at night when she turned 2.Why is ur 4yr old still wearing nappies? So your not alone. What is going to make it really hard for you is that it is winter and just getting them to the toilet can be a mission. It went very well during the summer months, but then when the nights starting to get cooler he started to wet his bed almost every night. So now I wake him every night when I have to go and it works, or at least I don''t have to wash the bedding the next day. We are still not there yet, getting the occassional wet bed. Have you tried to run the tap when she sits on the toilet, an old trick which work very well for us. Also no liquids from say 2 hours before bedtime, hard on them, but it helps. Reply to Kinnie Posted by: Maria | 2012/05/15 If she is dry most mornings, why don''t you do away with the night nappies? Reply to Maria Want to comment?
