We initially employed the one and she led us to believe that she is very experienced with taking care of twins. I soon learnt that it was not the case. i did like her warm and caring nature and kept her on and got a 2nd nanny. The original nanny was to be paid R2500 and she is live in. When we discussed her inability to care for both babies, she suggested we pay her less and advised that she has a cousin who could assist. We agreed and now both ladies chose to live with us, rather than on their own. I pay them each R1600. Should I be buying them toiletries? They eat what we eat or cook for themselves during the day. We are vegetarian but we have an older child that eats chicken and fish, so I buy chicken for them. I am not prepared to buy red meat. One of the nannies doesn''t want to eat veggies when we cook eat. She hates veggies and never eats salads or fruits. She says she likes red meat only. I have told her that she can bring her meat and cook it.I don''t think I am being unreasonable. The ladies go home on friday. They live close by, so my hubby drops them at their doors. They have also been living with family and as they don''t contribute anything, were told to live on their own. I have asked them to let me know when the groceries are up. As they are home, they cook what they feel like for breakfast, lunch and supper. It is exhausting telling them all the time to tell me when things get finished. How do i get these ladies to be more observant and responsible/ 1 Pin It user comments Posted by: Nandi''s mum | 2012/06/25 I also have a nanny who started out saying she does not eat fish, later said she does not eat red meat as well, I bought her soya so that she can eat soya mince when we eat mince meat, later on said she does not eat soya too. I have told her 1000 times that she is making things difficult for me coz she is too choosy, she told me that I must make sure there is cabbage and Nkomasi (sour milk), so thats what I did for a few months. Anyway, last week I gave her Nkomasi but she told me that she does not like eating it at night coz of this and that. So, she went to bed with an empty stomach. I am just so tired of her! She even says she does not like spices and that i must take her share out when before I add spices! Oh no! She has been working for us for 4 years and i like her a lot coz she raised my daughter.
