My Dog' s Skin

My dog' s skin is very sensitive and he scratches alot! When I bath him it' s even worse. Are there any special shampoos I should be looking at? And advice? Thanks!

Dear Anri

It depends on what is the underlying cause of the irrited skin. Go and spend some money at your friendly vet for his opinion.

Mia is ' n 10 maande oue Jack Russel. Dis regtig baie erg en as dit so aanhou gaan sy binne 2 weke nie meer hare oor he nie. Miskien is daar ' n ander probleem. Ek hoor graag van u. Baie dankie by voorbaat.

Cybervet is right: your dog could be allergic to something in his surroundings, or he could have very dry skin that requires an anti-itch shampoo (eg Bio-Groom). Alternatively, your dog could be allergic to whatever you' re washing your pet blankets and towels in!
Do some research online and I' m sure you' ll find some hypo-allergenic shampoos. Neem oil and Earth Pets Skin Soothing Blend are also recommended for trouble skins
