Muscle loss

I am an active 65 year old type 2 diabetic , on insulin. Up until recently, when my husband died, I was fine. Now I seem to be experiencing muscle loss in my legs and arms. I am not loosing much weight, just the loss of muscle. My sugar levels are slightly raised...... normally closer to 7 than 4 !! I eat a very balanced diet and take Presum for blood pressure.

Is it possible that your muscle loss is due to inactivity? On receipt of your reply, the matter will receive my further attention.
