Mumps

Hi Doc. I am visiting friends this weekend, and their daughter has mumps. She won''t be in the house, and I was vaccinated when I was young, but I''m still scared I could get it! My friends say they don''t have symptoms so they shouldbe fine, but I heard your most infectious before you show signs.

Should I go to visit them or am I putting myself at risk?

Unfortunately, you are putting yourself at risk and I suggest that you rather postpone your visit until everybody is healthy.
