re: Miscarriage

If an employee has had a miscarriage in her first trimester, it does not qualify for maternity leave. Only a miscarriage during the 3rd trimest of pregnancy or bears a still born child is the employee entitled to maternity leave for 6 weeks after the miscarriage or still birth. You would be able to access sick leave.
