Mirena

Hi Doc

Will the mirena sort out hormonal imbalance?
Can my pill - femodene be the cause of me struggling to loose weight?

When I struggled to fell pregnant a few year back I didn''t ovulate at all and when I went off my pill I pick up 23kg and still struggling my bud off to get rid of it.

Thanks

Stopping the Pill would not cause 23 kg of weight gain. The Mirena is useful in some circumstances but it depends exactly what the problem is. Not ovulating plus weight gain suggests PCOS and the Pill would then be a better option.

Best wishes
