I have a mirena for the past 6 years. It is time for a new one. Is it painfull to remove and insert a new one without aneastetics??? Thank you

Hi. It should be changed every 5 years. It can be painful but ask for a sedative, it works wonders! And ur back on ur feet within 1/2 hour.
