Mirena

I have had the Mirena in since 2005 and must have it removed this month. I will also be turning 50 (boo-hoo) early June. What should I do as far as contraception is concerned? Can I stop using anything? I am soo afraid to start menstruating again.
As always, thanks for your advice.
Regards

Have your hormone levels checked to see if you are menopausal, then you will no if any contraception is necessary.
