Mirena

Hello

I had the mirena inserted end june 2008. I have had more spotting than usual this month - fresh blood. I have had a very bad month with a lot of stress, could the stress be making the spotting worse? (end of the month was always my normal menstral time). I had my annual check up May 2009 and everything was clear. Is this something I need to get checked out?

It is more likely to be related to the Mirena. The amount of spotting does vary. You can have it checked at your next annual check-up.
