mineral water for dog in liver failure

Dear Doc, I' ve read that giving a dog in liver failure bottled or filtered water is better than chlorinated water. Would this be the same as spring/mineral water like Nestle or Evian? What other bottled water could this be? would the mineral concentrations not be too high in mineral water - I' m thinking especially of the sodium? Pls advise
