Dear Anon
If you suffer from a maize/mielie allergy you need to avoid maize or mielie meal, fresh, frozen or canned corn on the cob, and all foods that contain maizena (which is made from milled maize). Maltabella porridge is made from sorghum so it should not be a problem. Check on the Bisto label if it contains maizena. The Allergy Association Website lists the foods that you need to avoid if you have a specific allergy.
