Midnight chocolate binges

I have no idea what is going on with me, but often I have been waking up in the middle of the night, around 2:45am, with an intense chocolate craving. I then find chocolate and have to eat it before falling soundly back to sleep. this is becoming like a pattern and is worrying me. When I wake up, I am wide awake, I just feel it is not healthy to eat chocolate at this time of night. I am 23 years old.

You couldn't "find" chocolate, unless you buy it and fill the stashes within which you find it. You don't HAVE to eat it, you choose to eat it. Such chocolate binging can be simply a bad habit and indulgence, or can be a crafving related to an early depression. Maybe see a shrink for a proper assessment before deciding how to manage it, apart from self-discipline
