Microval

Good Morning,

I''m 20 years old and struggle with heavy and painful periods. Dr recommended that I use Microval contraceptive pills to ease the pain and decrease the bleeding.
I have never before use contraceptives.
Is it safe to use and what side effects can there be?
Can it possibly cause fertility problems later in life?
Is there a limited time I can use it for?

Thank you.

It might be better to user a combined Pill such as Triphasil. There are no fertility problems in later life. Side effects vary and may include nausea and breast tenderness. The other option would be to use Ponstan, starting a day or two before your periods and taking for the duration of the period.
Best wishes
