Metabolism

Hi There

Is there a sure fire way to kick start ones metabolism after it has reached a grinding halt (apart from drugs). I am about 10kgs over weight and have no metabolism to talk about!!! Taking 30 minutes a day to excercise is hardly an option based on work commitments and safety issues. Are there foods or OTC type non addictive remedies to give ones metablisom a bit of a push?

Thanks

Hallo Anon
Try to increase your energy usage by walking up stairs instead of using the elevator, parking a little bit further from the shop, or get yourself a stepper. One can break the 30 minutes into 3-4 sessions of 5-10 minutes each. Change your diet to eat only 3 portions of low GI, high fibre carbohydrates like rye bread, more vegetables, 3 fruits per day - eat as snacks inbetween meals (apples/pears/pineapple/ pawpaw/kiwi)and low fat protein at each meal.
