Menstrual Cycle

Hi i just want to find out whether i should be worried my baby is 16 months old now i haven''t had my menstrual cycle since he has been born. I am still breast feeding but doubt that the fact that i am breastfeeding would have an effect on it. I am not on any contraceptive medication and haven''''t not used any.
What can be the problem?

It is normal not to have periods while you are breastfeeding. If you have had unprotected intercourse and think you may be pregnant, you should do a pregnancy test.
