MDR TB

Working with people that are TB positive that have the new strain (MDR TB). How does one protect yourself against active infectious TB disease.

Dear Gary
If you work in a hospital you should follow infectious disease guidelines ( wearing gloves, mask and protective clothing) as instructed. If it is just in a normal workplace, good ventilation, letting sunlight in (ultraviolet kills TB bacteria), any staff that coughs for more than a week or have weightloss and nightsweats need to see a doctor for evaluation.
