Maternity vs retrencment

Hi,

I was due to go on maternity leave end this month bt now my company lost the contract that i was working on and i was given a termination letter as they say they dont have any available space for me. They are refusing to sign my maternity forms. is this right- the refusal to sign matrnity forms?
