Marena Loop and Endimetriosis

Please could you assist with the following:

There is a 16 year old girl that complains of period pains. Her mom has taken her to the gynae and they are assuming she has endimetriosis - can somebody have this at the age of 16 - why would they want to insert the Marena?

Yes, one can have that at the age of 16. Common practive would be to put her on the contreceptive pill and see if that helps. My daughter aged 15 has the same problem
