If your test results showed abnormally high manganese levels, then you need to consult a specialist without delay. The levels in your body do not necessarily correspond to severity of symptoms however, and the symptoms you mention could indicate several other disorders. If you have only been exposed briefly a few times, it is less likely that the effects will be serious. In order to prove that your health has been affected and consider taking legal steps, you will likely need a definitive diagnosis. It may not be possible at this stage to make such a diagnosis - you may need further tests and examinations, and likely in a few months from now. For more on the legal aspect, please also refer your question to our Labour Lawyer, or Workplace Health Expert.

The information provided does not constitute a diagnosis of your condition. You should consult a medical practitioner or other appropriate health care professional for a physical exmanication, diagnosis and formal advice.
