Taking a month old child to a malaria area is stupid!RegardsPete Reply to pete | 1 comment (hide) Posted by: NK | 2015/01/12 Hi Pete I have booked a trip to Zanzibar with my wife and our daughter who turns 3 in May 2015. I read last week that it is not advisable that children under 5 travel to Malaria areas and that the Yellow Fever vaccine is not advised for under 5 kids. But i also read that Zanzibar has done well to fight malaria and it is no longer high risk like in the past. Would the general advice be to rather leave the baby behind and not take the risk?
