Malaria prevention

We will be visiting the Kruger Park during October but we don''t want to use Meflaime as it caused severe aftereffects when we used it 2 years ago - paranoia, etc etc.
What alternatives are there to prevent getting Malaria?

You can consult your doctor for a prescription for doxycyclin. This is an oral antibiotic that can be taken for the period that you are inside the park. Please remember that this drug can cause severe skin sensitivity to the sun. Remember to cover, use bug spray and mosquito nets.
