Malaria and kids

Hi
Please can you tell me what is the latest as regards taking children into malaria areas?

The Medical Information Centre (UCT Pharmacology) advises strongly against taking children under 5 into a malarial area. If you are going to take small children, then they absolutely should take prophylaxis – Larium or paediatric Malanol.
