lung cancer recovery

after having surgary to remove the cancer 6 weeks ago i find that i am suffering mood swings,some days i feel so low yet at other times feel really optimistic.is this normal? .i stopped pain relief 2 weeks after surgary as i kept feeling light headed and not in control.still have some pain but it is bearable.

This is a normal experience when recovering from lung cancer. You can ask your GP to start you on a light anti-depressant.
