lump in breast

Hi, i have a 16 year old niece that has a lump in her breast. How likely would it be that the lump could be dangerous?? How would we know if it were. What would be the symptoms of the lump being cancerous? She''s going to the doctor so we would know soon enough, I would just like to know more about it.
Your help would be most appreciated as we are quite worried at the moment.

Thank you.

At this age the chances of cancer are very low. A biopsy might be necessary to see exactly what type of lump it is.
