LUMBAR 4/5

I have a herniation of L4/5 and am in constant pain.
I have had a mr done. An op is not an option as I am a business hands on owner and cannot take time off work.
What else can I do to relief the pain - for eg. exercise . I have a very full day and gets home at night too tired to do anything and do not want to take painkillers all the time - is there a way?
