Dear Jade
Avocado and fresh cooked mielies are both low-GI foods. Contact The Glycemic Index Foundation of SA at: www.gifoundation.com to obtain more information, including books that explain the principles of the low-GI diet and the 'SA Glycemic Index Guide' which lists the GI of foods. I heartily approve of a low-fat, low-GI diet.
Best regards
