Lose concsioness, cannot stand up diareh

My husband, 51, 7 kg overweight, heavy smoker, moderate drinker, mainly wine, very stressed and tired. He gets attacks, cannot walk or stand,has to lie down, for at least 10 min, feeling will pass then return after 5 minutes, he says that he has to lie down otherwise he passes out. This will go on for about half an hour. This has occurred 3 times thepast two months. His blood pressure is normal as well as his sugar count. After one of these attacks, he vomits and has extreme diahoria, he is then very tired.
Please help!!

Your husband has to be evaluated for ischemic heart disease or an arrythmia (irregular heart beat) or clogged carotid arteries or anemia. Syncope (passing out) is usually caused by low blood pressure due to the heart not pumping right, but can also be due to anemia (not enough Hemoglobin to carry oxygen) or lack of blood flow to the brain ( like with a blockage to the artery that runs in the neck)
