Long Term Irregular Period

I have long term irregular periods and haven''t had my menstrual cycle in about 5months now, as a child i only started my cycle at 18years of age, and its always been iregular(2-3months) not this bad though, i am now 26years old.

I am not pregnant, i was , but aborted my baby about 3years ago, had terrible experience , 3 womb scrapes, and have not had the courage to go for a papsmear since then.

I am on no contraceptives, use no drugs, use no medication.

Could this be due to underlying factors - unconscious or conscious anxiety about pregnancy.

It sounds like you have a hormonal problem if your periods have always been irregular. You should see a gynaecologist about this.
