Lipoma

Hi Doc, I''ve discovered a lump on my back which my GP diagnosed as a lipoma. Could it be as a result of a hard fall &  cracking 4 ribs a year ago &  should I be concerned? Is there anything I can do about it besides surgical removal, it''s still small at this stage. Thank you.

Hallo Bee
Lipoma is not caused by injuries and is not dangerous. It is not even necessary to remove it if it is not bothering you or not on an obvious place which makes it unsightly.
