lettuce

Hi again Doc

When experts say you need to eat a lot of green, leafy veg, would that include lettuce? I don' t really cook veggies but I eat salad twice a day and most of that is lettuce. I buy the mixed packs with reddish and green leaves. Besides tasting yummy and having low KJ, is lettuce worth eating?

Dear Gogga
The deep green leaves of lettuce contain beta-carotene and the red leaves contain other phytonutrient which are also protective. So you can certainly eat these types of lettuce.
Enjoy
