Leave when starting a new job

Morning, If i start a new job say 1 November 2009, when am i able and allowed to start taking leave at this new company.

Leave is accrued on the basis of 1 hour for every seventeen hours worked. Normally company's have policies as to when the first leave can be taken. It is suggested that you contact the human resources officer or department to have a look at the policies and this will give you your answer.
