Q.

Lacteol Forte-Tummy still hasnt settled!

Good morning Ladies,

Please advise. My LO needs to take this supplement (I'll have to get some later this evening-it's my first time using it). I tried the stuff the clinics prescribe and it's not very nice and he refuses to take some on it's own.
Lacteol Forte is so convenient because you add it to his bottle and it comes in different flavours. I'm thinking that it's one sachet per bottle? Do you take it once a day (only one bottle), or include it in every bottle you make?
Also, is this sufficient to rehydrate baby? Or do I need to give the Lacteol Forte along with the Rehydrate?
He's not listless and is still drinking and eating well, but his tummy wont give either of us a break!!!! He's fine during the day, but as soon as we're home he gets the runs again!
And finally (sjoe, what a mouthful so early in the morning!), what is the best cream to use for nappy rash? I got a mixture from the chemist but it's not working fast enough and Fissan paste isn't helping either!

Thanks so much!

Warm regards,
Danni

Hi there,

I've been in the same situation a few months ago!

Lacteol Forte replaces the good bacteria that is lost in baby's tummy and 1 sachet per day is the recommended dosage!
You still need to give lo rehidrat / hydrol as potassium in this mixtures help to bind lo's tummy!
And lastly.... For really bad nappy rash, my doc prescribed Travocort.. It is quite expensive (R185 for a small tube) but the rash is cleared within 3 to 5 days!

Best of luck... I know it's not easy to be dealing with all of this!
