Kittens

Hi
I have two 3 month old rescued kittens. I have had them since about 6 wks. The female is much less affectionate than the male. He seems to need more reassurance, he is quite skittish, she isn' t. Is there anyway I can encourage the female to be a bit more affectionate other than offering her treats? I try to fuss over her but also don' t want to be so overbearing she gets irritated. Any advise? thanks
