Ketones

Doc, the article does not speak of how to eliminate ketones from the body, if ketones remain forever, for example someone who is slim at 70kg and goes to 90kg probably produces X ketones, which load X organs in the body Y amount over 3 months, etc. we need some detail here ... I follow a high protein diet, low fat, but eat olive oil, garlic onions, etc.

Dear Chris
Luckily ketones are excreted via the kidneys. However, if production is too high for adequate removal by the kidneys at a specific time, then ketosis develops which can cause coma and in severe cases even lead to the patient's death. So once you stop using the zero carb diet your body will excrete any remaining ketones and get back to its normal metabolism. Garlic and onions do not really count as sources of carbohydrate.
