JC Virus

I''ve been in contact with a female that has JC Virus and she passed away. I touched her hand and wiped her tears whilst she was in hospital.

Please advise whether this is a contagious disease as I am pregnant and worried about my baby.

Hallo Jenny
70-90% of people have antibodies against JC virus by 10 years of age, and it is only really dangerous to people with impaired immunity (like people on chemotherapy, with HIV or leukemia)
