Jack russells teath

Good Day,
Please can you assist? How do I know if my 4 year old Jack Russell''s teath need scaling by a vet? I brush his teath weekly but there still seems to be some brown build up on his teath.
thanks,
Jo

Hi Jo

What you need to do is look at the teeth and see if there are any deposits on the teeth. In addition look to see if there is any inflammation to the gingival membrane next to the teeth as this could indicate a possible dental decay/gum infection. Ask you vet check the teeth to see if he/she requires a dental.

Kind regards

Angus Campbell
