IUD

Hello doctor, I had an IUD put in many years ago. A year later I felt the string was coming out and when I pulled gently, everything ( or what I hope to be everything came out).

I am now trying to get pregnant. Do you think that its necessary to see a doctor to make sure that everything came out or would he have noticed something while doing my pap smear?

Thanking you in anticipation

You would have seen the IUCD and it can't really be mistaken. Go ahead and try to fall pregnant.
