Our expert says:
Do you mean, only once he penetrates you, or for a while after penetrative sex? IF it is the former, it may be that the feeling of itching is in fact irritation of the skin - in which case try using more lubrication and slow down penetration to allow the anus to stretch slowly. If your anus is itchy for a period of time after penentration, the reasons for the itching need to be properly identified before it can be treated. If there are minor abrasions caused by anal penetration, and bacteria enters the abrasion, it may be that you have a bacterial infection. Scratching this itch then further infects the area, causing more itching. If on the other hand you have a yeast infection, then you may need an antifungal treatment.
Always make sure that you practice safe sex and take care of personal hygiene. This doesn't mean using perfumed soaps as this can break down natural 'flora' of the area which can in turn promote fungal infection. Consider an STI screen for your own peace of mind - this can include an anal swab to exclude any infection.
