Question

Issues  where do I start?

I suspect that I have a whole range of issues… . Commitment phobia (the Tinker Bell syndrome {I am female  31years old})   emotionally unavailable towards (potential) partners  don’ t think that I can love, except of course family& friend-love… ..

Do you think that a couple of sessions with a shrink will sort me out? I don’ t know where to begin??? Or even why I got these issues??? How and where can I start my healing process as I don' t want to be like this.

Thank you kindly.

I thought Tinkerbell asked us to clap our hands if we believed in fairies ! Its a daft name for difficulties in committment - I thought Tink was strongly committed to Peter, throughout.
Whether you can sort it out in a couple of sessions, I don't know, but CBT should be helpful. HOW or WHY you got such symptoms is often surprisingly less relevant than CBT's concentration on changing the inconvenient behaviors
