Is warm beverages best with food?

Hi DD

I''ve heard that drinking something warm like tea or coffee with meals helps break down the food faster so it does not make you pack on the pounds, is this true?

Dear Trace
I have not read any scientific studies that have shown that drinking warm liquids with meals will affect the breakdown of foods and/or promote weightloss. I think this is wishful thinking. To lose weight you need to reduce your energy intake by eating a low-fat diet and increase your energy expenditure by doing exercise.
