is it healthy to miss periods

I had fibroid endom,went in july for laproscope,was told by gynae after op,I Shud skip my pills(pink tablet)only after 3 mnths I must get period,thereafter I went next checkup,now he tells me to skip my pink tablets for the next 2 yrs... Is that healthy,what happens then to the bad blood??
