Dear Bongie
Congratulations on the birth of your baby. Breastfeeding is the single most valuable thing you can give your child which will have a positive effect on the rest of his/her life, including the prevention of future obesity. So it is important not to do anything that will interfere with your milk production or expose the baby to chemical compounds found in slimming pills which can cause negative side-effects. If you have gained weight during your pregnancy, use a balanced low-fat diet click on 'DietnFood' at the top of this page, then on 'Healthy Diets' and then on 'Slimming Diet' for a copy of such a diet), and increase your energy output by doing regular exercise (take baby for a brisk walk very day) for at least 30 minutes a day to lose weight. Please add 1-2 cups of low-fat milk, yoghurt or maas to this slimming diet to ensure that you and baby obtain the 1500 mg of calcium a day that you need.
Enjoy the baby

It is not a good idea to take diet pills period. Absolutely STUPID to take it while breastfeeding!

Your baby will take in everything you take in through breastmilk. Why not then let her/him acquire the tast for spinach and other fruit and vegetables of a healthy diet. Take her/him for walks and get some exercise. This way you will pass on some healthy lifestyle habits rather than chemicals of diet pills.

Excuse the blatant honesty but if you''re intelligent enough to read you should be intelligent enough to take advice given from the heart.
