Q.

Internal callus at base of middle finger

Hi

I have a hard internal (callus / bone ?) at the base of my middle finger (where the finger and hand meet). When my fingers are stretched straight you can' t see it, only when I bring my finger towards by palm does it stick out. It is very sore when I pick something up and it presses against it.
Any idea what it is and what treatment I should get?

Thanks

Hallo Adele
please let our doctor have a look, you may need a x/ray. It could be due to inflammation of the joint or a problem with the tendon.
