insulin level 28

pls advise why is my insulin level 28. i have recently had a blood test done. my cholestral is bet 6 &  7. i am 50yrs old. i have a heart condition ( angina) . what''s the cause, cos i watch what i eat.

Sorry for butting in, but sounds as though you are pre-diabetic. Post to Diet Doc for guideline on what you need to eat. you''ll need to start an exercise program (after checking with your doc) and if your insulin levels don''t come down you might need to go on meds such as Glucophage.
