Hi there,
I was on the DP injection as a method to control endometriosis. It worked for the problems of endometriosis, but came with a lot of side effects. Weight gain, loss in sex drive, terrible acne attacks etc. I''ve gone off the injection since Dec 2009 &  my system is still not back to normal. I still haven''t started menstruating yet, but the doc says this is normal for up to a year from your last injection. So it is a good contraception method, but the side effects out weighed the positives for me!
