Increased Flatulence

I have noticed over the past couple of months a change in my body that I seem to be very flatulent as well as having increased bowel movement and I have gained about 8 kilos

I am concerned about this as I have been trying to loose weight but seem to have gone the other. I joined gym and was going 3 times a week but this had to unfortunately stop due to my relocation of work and not being able to get to gym during my lunch breaks anymore. I am wondering if having gymed for abour 2 moths and then stopped all together if this could the cause

Other than that my diet has not changed much, I still eat 3 regular meals a day and snacks. I maybe dont excercise as much as I would like but this has been this way for years now

So why now do I have the excessive flatulance and bowel movements. My stomach is quite often growling from what I imagine as hunger pains, the extra weight I have put on concerns me most

Dear Fresh
Any marked change in bowel habits is always a reason for having a medical examination. Coupled with your weight gain and the increased flatulence all indicate that there may be a problem with your digestion. Because the symptom of flatulence is unfortunately associated with so many different gastrointestinal problems (ulcers, IBS, gallbladder problems, allergies, intolerance, enzyme deficiencies, etc, etc), it is necessary for you to have a medical examination so that we can obtain a diagnosis which will indicate what type of treatment you require and what type of diet would be beneficial. So please make an appointment with your gp as soon as possible so that you can find out what is causing the winds, weight gain, and increased bowel motions.
