Dear Louane
Some patients with spastic colon or IBS can eat mild curries, while others can't. As is the case with all foods and beverages, how an IBS patient reacts depends on that patient's individual reaction. This is why it is a good idea to keep a good diary and to note down which foods cause YOU discomfort, so that you can eliminate them. If you find that this is a problem for you, please consult a registered dietitian who will work out a specific diet for your condition. (Visit the Association for Dietetics in SA Website at: www.adsa.org.za and click on "Find a Dietitian" to find a dietitian in your area).
