hypertention

Hi

I am on hypertention medication, and have been told to cut down on salt (as one of many precautions)

Is it possible to get a blood test to indicate if my salt level ?

Dear Steve
One can check your Natrium level in the blood but this won't really help you. High salt intake keeps back water and this increases your blood volume, which has an effect on your blood pressure - this is the reason they ask you to reduce your salt intake, not because your blood salt level is too high.
