HRT?

Hi Doc

I had a partial hysterectomy about 5-yeas ago. I am experiencing hot flushes at the moment, poor sex drive, migraines, memory problems, heart palpitations, body aches and pains and anxiety which could apparently be associated with menopause. I am considering HRT but have a history of beast cancer in my family (Mom). Should I consider HRT with such a history? My quality of life is being influenced with menopausal symptoms. I am over weight and do not go to gym- although I am quite active. Any advise?

You can take HRT even with your history. There are obviously pros and cons. It would be a good idea to see your gynaecologist and discuss these.

Best wishes
